The DIFC has enacted significant amendments to its Prescribed Company Regulations, broadening access to the regime while strengthening the role of regulated Corporate Service Providers (CSPs). Under the updated framework, most Prescribed Companies are required to appoint a DFSA-licensed CSP.
The amendments also remove the previous applicant, qualifying purpose and UAE nexus-based eligibility requirements, significantly broadening access to the Prescribed Company regime. This provides international investors and groups with greater flexibility when using DIFC Prescribed Companies as holding vehicles for global assets and investment structures.
